JUNIOR ACADEMY PROGRAM (U8)

The Junior Academy is structured to provide your son or daughter an excellent opportunity to develop as a soccer player in the best possible positive learning environment. The goal of the Academy Program is to provide a fun yet challenging opportunity for players seeking more skilled soccer and more playing opportunities than are offered at the recreational level, accessible to players U8. The Club has worked to develop a technical curriculum that will enable players to develop age appropriate skills, allow each player to be assessed and play on a team and in a division most appropriate for their skill and commitment. It is a goal of the U8 Academy to provide the opportunity and the encouragement essential to advance the skill level of the players to include scholastic level play including tactical skills. The cost of the Academy remains the best value in the entire Capital Region when one considers the quality of technical and tactical training given. 

Full Junior Academy Registration

The Academy Program registration fee is $675.00 for the 2026-2027 season. The registration fee, in addition to providing support for the club’s administrative and facility costs, includes the following:

• Training Sessions conducted by professional, licensed coaches.
• Fall Outdoor (1 Academy format session per week)
• Winter Indoor Training (1 Academy format sessions per week)
• Spring Outdoor Training (2 Academy format sessions per week)
• Additional Skills/Technical Training Sessions (4) scheduled during Indoor Training
• CDYSL (or other) Spring competitive league fees
• Afrim's Membership Fee

Additional activities, CDYSL Fall Travel, additional indoor practices, indoor league play, tournament play and uniform fees are not included.

An early bird discount of $25 will be given if you register before July 26, 2026.

There is also a 10% multiple sibling discount that will be applied at check if registering more than one player.
 

Spring Only Junior Academy Registration Option 

The Spring Only Academy Option registration fee is $ 475.00 for the 2026-2027 season. The registration fee, in addition to providing support for the club’s administrative and facility costs, includes the following:

• Training Sessions conducted by professional, licensed coaches.
• Final four weeks of Winter Indoor Training (1 Academy format session per week)
• Spring Outdoor Training (2 Academy format sessions per week)
• CDYSL (or other) Spring competitive league fees
• Afrim's Membership Fee
• In addition, players will now be permitted to participate in optional activities after March 1st (Example - Afrim’s Indoor Session 3).

Additional activities, CDYSL Fall Travel, additional indoor practices, indoor league play, tournament play and uniform fees are not included.

Please note

The following are limitations on participation for Spring Only Academy Option registrants.

• Participation in optional activities is limited to those activities which occur after March 1st.
• This means that the following optional activities associated with participation in the Academy Programs are not open to Spring Only Option registrants prior to March 1st
• Any and all practices, outdoors or indoors.
• Any and all outdoor competitions / leagues / tournaments (Example - CDYSL Fall Travel)
• Any and all Indoor competitions / leagues / tournaments (Example - Afrim’s Indoors Sessions 1 & 2 or weekend tournaments).
• Additional Skills/Technical Training Sessions

Scholarship Application and Financial Assistance

NOTE: Regardless of if you are participating in the Full Year or Spring Only Program, please register as early as possible to help us determine our team formation. On-time registration will be considered through October 31st. Players registered late may be placed on a wait list with regard to competitive team formation because of roster size limitations. 

A $150 late fee will be assessed for registration beginning December 1. If you choose to wait to register, there will be no prorating of the academy fee
